Shaping the Future of Rail with Digital Engineering and Technology
India’s railway sector is entering a new phase of growth, with digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable technologies playing an increasingly important role in building a globally competitive and future-ready mobility ecosystem. EDS Technologies recently participated in the 7th Conference on Railways Excellence, hosted by CII – Northern Region, bringing together key stakeholders from across the industry.
Representing EDS Technologies, Mr. Karthikeyan Varadarajan, CTO, EDS Technologies, joined the panel on “The Future Runs on Rail: Driving Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Technology & Green Mobility,” sharing perspectives on how digital transformation can enable more efficient, sustainable, and connected rail operations.
Mr. Prabhat Katyal, from our partner Dassault Systèmes, also participated in the panel “Make in India to Made for the World: Building India’s Global Rail Manufacturing & Export Hub,” exploring how digital engineering and advanced technologies can support India’s ambition to strengthen its rail manufacturing and export capabilities.
The conference provided a valuable platform for industry leaders to discuss how digital engineering, simulation, manufacturing technologies, and collaborative platforms can accelerate innovation and contribute to the next chapter of India’s rail ecosystem.
