Virtual Orientation Program at APSSDC Receives Overwhelming Participation
EDS Technologies conducted virtual orientation on Industrial Requirements in Design, Simulation and Manufacturing using the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform along with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to all the academic institutions that come under the APSSDC on 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2021. The first day’s session covered various topics like the current industry needs in design, how CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE is helping in the development of new products virtually in the pandemic times and a demo on the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE tool. The second day’s session which was mainly on product validation covered topics such as the real impact of simulations which help in taking immediate and better decisions, introduction to the SIMULIA 3DEXPERIENCE tool and a demo on how product validations can be done on the platform. The final day’s session focused on the theme of virtual production and covered topics like smart manufacturing during pandemic times, industry needs with respect to manufacturing, introduction to virtual production concept and DELMIA 3DEXPERIENCE tool and a demo of virtual production on the platform.
The virtual session received overwhelming participation from the APSSDC member institutes. There were nearly 40 institutes from across Andhra Pradesh with nearly 300 participants across the three sessions.
EDS Technologies has partnered with many academic institutions to bridge the industry-academia divide by providing industry relevant engineering applications and access to various cutting-edge CAD/ CAM technologies. The objective of the program is to train students in the advanced 3DEXPERIENCE platforms based on the job role they choose. Students will have the option to choose more than 30 job roles specific to their stream of engineering. This will assist them in acquiring professional skills and to enhance their employability. Students will also have access to the international arena as they are trained under the global program of Dassault Systèmes.
Under the MoU, EDS Technologies will conduct online training program on 3DEXPERIENCE platform for a period of 15 days. EDST will also provide guidance during practical sessions. During the training program, there will be guest lectures and seminars from industry experts to enhance the skills, knowledge and industry awareness of students. EDST will also provide preparatory training to students who intend to take up certification exams.

EDS Technologies participates in DEP Conclave 2020, Bangalore
DEP Conclave 2020 was hosted by Detroit Engineered Products for industry professionals from engineering, simulation and design departments to discuss the crucial role that CAE plays in faster product development and optimization.
Common CAE and engineering challenges were raised by the attendees leading to discuss how the latest DEP concepts, developments and solutions would address these challenges. EDS Technologies attended the conclave as the strategic partner of DEP Meshworks to interact with industry leaders, technical experts and customers on how to scale the challenges.
The event began with an overview of latest release of Meshworks 2020. Meshworks 2020 is the next generation engineering platform for faster product development with innovative tools such as morphing, concept works and early concept tools for an easier and faster concept development process. CAE modelling time is drastically reduced with parametric modelling, rapid meshing and automated model assembly.
The conclave included two insightful keynote sessions. Jayaraman Sivakumar, Director, General Motors Technical Centre India presented on ‘Efficacy of CAE in Product Development and Optimization’. B Girish, Deputy Project Director, Aeronautical Development Agency delivered the keynote on ‘CAE tools usages in Design, Analysis and Testing of LCA Aircraft Structure’.

Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) is a global annual conference organised by National Training and Simulation Association at Orlando, Florida. EDS Technologies participated in EMobility Plus Week India 2019
EMobility Plus Week India 2019 is an interactive conference for the Future and Scope of Electric Vehicles in India. EDS Technologies participated as an exhibition partner to network with industry professionals and prospective clients.

EDS Technologies inaugurated e-learning programs with Reva University for their Engineering students. The event occurred at Reva University’s Bangalore campus which was attended by the faculty and students. EDST e-Learning is an online learning platform specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Industry skill based courses.

Dassault Systèmes’ annual 3DEXPERIENCE forum took place in Bengaluru and New Delhi on September 10th and 12th, respectively. As a platinum partner with the largest customer base in India for Dassault Systèmes, EDS Technologies (EDST) was an event sponsor. The theme for this year was Industry Renaissance focused on Sustainable Innovation and Business for a Sustainable World.
Our customers from industries such as Aerospace, Mining, Defense, Automotive, and Engineering attended the 3DEXPERIENCE forum. EDS Technologies conducted a workshop in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur
EDS Technologies presented in a workshop on Blast Resistant and Antiterrorism Design of Structures Using Advanced Materials conducted by VNIT, Nagpur.
Narendra Palande, Application Engineer, EDS Technologies, presented a keynote on Blast Simulation with Abaqus Software. The keynote discussed Material Modeling, Meshing and Formulation, and Analysis Techniques and Output Request in Abaqus. The keynote dwelled on understanding the suitable building materials, their usage and simulation to build Blast Resistant and Antiterrorism Design of Structures.
The workshop was attended by students and faculties from various engineering colleges from in and around Nagpur. Dr. M. D. Goel, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Mechanics, VNIT and Dr. R. K. Ingle, Professor, Department of Applied Mechanics, VNIT also participated in the workshop.

EDS Technologies organized a CIO meet in Coimbatore on 23rd Aug, 2019 in association with the CIO Klub, Coimbatore Chapter. There were in attendance more than 40 CIOs and senior management representations from Manufacturing, Consumer Goods and Services segments.
The agenda of the meet was “Simplify Your Digital Transformation Journey“. Digital transformation is a fundamental rethinking of Customer Experience, Business Models and Operations.
The evening started with an address from CIO Klub Coimbatore Chapter President, Dr.O.A.Balasubramaniam on the importance of this seminar and with an introduction to EDS Technologies. 3DEXPERIENCE on Wheels, a unique initiative by Dassault Systemes which flagged of its journey from Pune, Maharashtra in May 2019 successfully continued its run in the Gujarat Industrial areas in the cities of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, where EDST touched upon customers from various industries like Automotive, Industrial Equipment and showcased how the Dassault Systemes solutions can help industry digitize in today’s age and become more efficient and productive.
Team EDST successfully delivered demos on technologies on Product Design, Simulation and Project Management and Virtual reality solutions to more than 30 customers in Maharashtra region and more than 15 engagements in Gujarat region.
The bus is equipped with latest technology demos which are shown to the R&D department and Production Departments of various manufacturing and automotive companies in their own premises where the complete team can attend this demos and be updated about the latest technology developments. It was well received and appreciated by the customers in the Gujarat Industrial areas.
After a successful run in Maharashtra and Gujarat region, the bus will now proceed to states like Rajasthan and Haryana and our team is looking forward to engage with the customers with this unique initiative.
EDST team hopes to continue this association with Dassault Systemes and demonstrating to customers about the latest technologies through this unique platform in the Northern India section in the coming months.

Gujarat Mining Development Corporation in association with Indian Buerau of Mines hosted the 26th Mines Environment and Mineral Conservation Week Award ceremony in Ahmedabad on 20th July.
Mr Anil Mukim, Secretary of Mines, Govt of India graced the event and spoke on how mining industry can benefit from streamlining their processes and using sophisticated technologies for surveying and planning. EDST along with Dassault Systèmes showcased GEOVIA Solutions for Mining Industry with a booth space at the event. EDST and Dassault Systèmes joined hands for the ETAuto Tech Summit in Gurugram on June 27 – 28 which saw one of the largest gathering of automotive industry audience from the NCR Region.

SAP today announced that it is the number one in supply chain management (SCM) market share.

According to Gartner Inc.: “The supply chain management application software market was USD 14 billion in 2018. This represented an annual growth of 12.5 percent, with the growth rate slowing down as compared to 2017.”* In the same report, SAP maintained its number one position for 2018 SCM market share.
Of the top 25 supply chain companies as defined by Gartner, 22 use supply chain management software from SAP.
