Addressing ACMA Auto Components Industry Transformation Summit 2026 in Bengaluru
As EV and next-generation vehicle platforms evolve, manufacturing decisions are increasingly being driven by material behavior, process capability, and system-level efficiency, rather than isolated technology choices. This viewpoint was shared by our Senior General Manager – Technical, Srikumar Maganti, during the panel on Lightweight Materials and Hybrid Machining at the 2nd ACMA India – Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) Auto Components Industry Transformation Summit. Drawing from deep industry experience, Srikumar highlighted the real-world trade-offs in material selection and the critical shift from conventional to hybrid machining. Achieving gains in performance and sustainability requires a tighter alignment between design intent and manufacturing realities.
