Simpack Automotive enables the modeling of vehicles for various industrial applications, encompassing both on-road and off-road vehicles like cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses, and heavy machinery. Users can access a wide range of elements, including tires, bushings, and road surfaces. Typical full vehicle analyses cover handling, ride quality, driveline performance, comfort, and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). It also provides standard databases of components and test scenarios. Additionally, automotive models are applicable for real-time applications, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and Model-in-the-Loop (MiL).
Simpack CDTire
The Simpack CDTire module, developed by Fraunhofer, allows the integration of this tire model into various Vehicle Dynamics applications within Simpack. It includes the essential solver functionality of CDTire.
Simpack Interface to MF-Tyre/MF-Swift/FTire
The Simpack Interface to MF-Tyre/MF-Swift allows the integration of MF-Tyre and MF-Swift (third-party tire models by Siemens) into Simpack, featuring the basic core solver functionality of MF-Tyre. The advanced core solver functionality for real-time applications of MF-Tyre and MF-Swift is available through separate licenses provided by Siemens.
The Simpack Interface to FTire facilitates the integration of FTire (a third-party tire model by Cosin) into Simpack. The core solver functionality of FTire is available through a separate license from Cosin.
Virtual Suspension
Utilizing look-up tables to model automotive suspension dynamics, this technology is primarily designed for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) applications. It enables accurate performance analysis and design optimization without extensive physical prototypes, facilitating faster development cycles and improved vehicle handling and ride comfort.
