Key Characteristics of next generation simulators and how Indian defence can leverage existing technologies

Simulators play a major role for tactical training and defence preparedness of a country. Speaking on the session on simulators organized by FICCI during the Aero Show 2019, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lee from Presagis presented on the key characteristics of next generation simulators and how local industry can leverage existing technologies and excel in their development. The modern simulators should be able to support modern urban environment, simulate a wide range of sensors, support multiple domains, should be built on concepts of open industry standard, open modular architecture, Leverage established proven technologies (including game engines). The session was attended by senior Airforce officers and the captains of defence and aerospace industry. Mr. Lee’s session was well received.
