Odisha Skills is the state level chapter of the India Skill Competition organized by the National Skill Development Corporation and the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Odisha skills 2018 was the first-of-its-kind State-level skill competition organized by the Odisha Government. The two day event provided students and trainees across the state, a platform to showcase their talent and prove their skill sets. EDS Technologies was invited to showcase new technologies which is currently driving industry innovation in design and digital manufacturing space. Of the technologies demonstrated, there was particular interest on Virtual Reality booth and e-learning application. There were interactions with various government officials on how to extend skill training and value-based education to students at different levels. More than 400 students visited our stalls to get introduced to these technologies first hand. We thank the Odisha Government for giving us this opportunity to participate in this platform.
