EDS Technologies and Dassault Systemes partnered with SAE NIS for the Top Tech seminar on latest trends and technology in Electric Vehicle Design and Development. This seminar was supported by SMEV and hosted by ICAT, Manesar on 05th Dec, 2018. The tone for the event was well set by Mr. Jagdish Bagare – R&D Head, Hero Electric and Technical Advisor for SMEV, who gave an overview on the EV Industry, its trends in India, the challenges it faces and the road ahead. SAE NIS was represented by Mr. Anup Kacker who spoke on the importance of SAE for automotive professionals and the learnings they can imbibe by being part of its growing community. Dr. Madhusudan Joshi and his team represented ICAT and their presentation showcased capabilities of the organization and how automotive companies including EV organizations can readily utilize the advance testing and certifying facilities of ICAT.

Mr. Karthikeyan from EDS Technologies underlined the importance of developing early R&D and manufacturing capability for EV by both conventional automotive companies and start-up eco-systems alike. The technology sessions from Dassault Systemes were led by Mr. Shree Harsha, Business Consulting Director, Transportation & Mobility and his team. Shree Harsha presented on the end-to-end solution frame work for EV development comprising of Product Development, Product Design, Simulation and Manufacturing. There were exciting session on e-mobility system modeling , e-mobility engineering and simulation workflow. This seminar had an overwhelming response with active participation of more than 40 organizations connected with electric mobility and had a god mix of EV OEMs, component manufacturers and start-ups.
