| EDS Technologies had conducted “CAD WAR” contest in Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Pune during the ACCLIVITY 2013 on 1st and 2nd March, 2013. |

This event was done under the banner of ACCLIVITY 2013. The event had close to 100 students participating and was conducted by EDS Technologies and PVPIT. The objective of the event was to measure the competency of the students on CATIA software. The overall environment was very competitive and also fun- filled with the students displaying their imagination in large measures.
The event started with the multiple choice question tests which was the first level of screening followed up by the CATIA model test. The final 8 students were given a second level of test on CATIA model which was to be designed within a time span of 35 minutes. The evaluation was done on the basis of sketch & constraints, part design methodology, model completion and drafting. Mr.Vikrant from MIT, Pune won the contest bagging a cash prize of Rs 5000. Mr.Jamdade from PVPIT was the runner up winning cash prize of Rs 3000 sponsored by EDS Technologies.
We thank both the winners for their outstanding efforts. EDS Technologies also awarded participation certificate to every candidate. We thank the PVPIT college management and the students for their excellent cooperation and the opportunity for conducting such an event.We would also like to thank Professor M.V.Khot, HOD-Mechanical and Professor R.J.Patil, the event organizer for their support in making this event a successful one.
EDS Technologies is open to conduct such competitive event for engineering college students which can help the students understand their skill levels and help provide an insight for their future career choices in the field of product design and analysis. |
