Engineous Software, now a part of SIMULIA, provides organizations with a product development system for process integration and design optimization. The comprehensive solution includes iSIGHT-FD for optimizing product designs and FIPER for capturing managing and reusing valuable engineering resources.
iSIGHT-FD works at the desktop level, integrating key steps in the product design process, then automates and executes those steps through design exploration tools like optimization, DOE, and DFSS techniques. The FIPER infrastructure links these processes together in a unified environment. Through FIPER, models, applications and "best" processes can be shared, version controlled and executed with other engineers, groups, and partners in a distributed computing environment.

iSIGHT-FD is offered as a standalone desktop product. However, any workflow created with iSIGHT-FD can be seamlessly integrated into an enterprise-wide design environment by connecting with FIPER. Engineous’ FIPER solution is a collaborative environment for sharing, managing, and publishing valuable engineering processes. |

| Engineering Components |
Engineous' open framework supports the integration of hundreds of internal and commercial applications. This flexible design allows you to seamlessly integrate new and existing technology into your simulation workflows.
We accomplish this integration with a part of our product called “components”. A component is a container for integrating and running a particular model or application directly within our software that has its own interface.
These components have a very close level of integration for one type of model, like CATIA V5, or Ansys Workbench. Other components are more generic and work on a wide range of tools like internally developed models, scripts and databases.
This approach provides the following benefits:
- Seamless integration of new technology with existing software, data and applications
- Timely delivery of innovative new technology and design exploration techniques. Solution Components are developed independently from our core software solutions.

WebTop: The FIPER WebTop lets model developers create design applications that can be deployed to engineering groups. Practitioners who need only basic runtime capabilities can access and execute models from simple Web browser interfaces.
FIPER ACS: The FIPER Application Control System manages applications, execution and results.
FIPER STATIONS: Work that is executed through the FIPER ACS is distributed to FIPER Stations – machines that have been configured to receive work in a parallel, distributed grid-like system.
