Integration is a key element of most simulation projects—the larger or more complex the project, the greater the cost of integration. An integrated suite of M&S software tools can help you save on integration time and cost—savings which can be passed directly to your end-users. With this in mind, we’ve continued our efforts to integrate our products to help streamline the M&S workflow. For example, our 3D modeling and terrain generation tools are more tightly linked than ever before. You can now edit and save your 3D models by launching Creator directly from Terra Vista.
Software bugs are a reality. However, there are ways to minimize the number of defects that end up in the final product. For the latest release, we developed a range of use cases based on requirements provided by our customers to support integrated testing across the suite of products. This in-depth testing goes above and beyond our standard quality testing practices to ensure you benefit from software with the highest level of quality. So whether you’re using one or multiple Presagis tools, you can be assured that stringent testing was applied to all of our products before delivery to you.
We’ve enhanced the Presagis Customer Portal to ensure you have access to licenses of Presagis software when you need them the most. With the new auto-licensing feature, maintenance customers will be able to generate upgrade license keys with the click of a button, 24/7. So when you’re ready to upgrade to M&S Suite 13, simply download your software and generate the upgrade license keys using this new feature. It’s as simple as that!
Performance matters. With tighter timelines and multiple programs on the horizon, you don’t have a moment to waste. That’s why the latest release of our software tools includes performance enhancements to help you build content, develop simulation scenarios, and render visual scenes faster than ever before. For example, with Terra Vista 13 we’ve clocked a 50% improvement in CDB database build times compared to the previous version.
Greater realism is the name of the game in today’s modeling and simulation world. Setting up an environment with simulation scenarios that model real-life behavior is the key to creating an immersive experience. With this in mind, we’ve added numerous features that enable you to develop applications to meet today’s high fidelity requirements. From 3D clouds to new simulation content available out-of-the-box to new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, this release includes a wide range of features that will help you bring your simulations to life.
Today, artificial Intelligence (AI) occupies a larger space in the simulation world than it did just a decade ago. Our customers are increasingly creating dynamic scenarios with highly realistic scenery and AI in order to make their simulations more accurate and believable. To help you enhance your simulations with AI, we’ve integrated core AI capabilities from our AI.implant tool into STAGE 13 to offer a complete simulation solution. Using robust character and vehicle AI to simulate complex mission behaviors, you’ll be able to develop your entire simulation architecture from the ground up with STAGE.
As a provider of commercially available software, we ensure that our tools satisfy a broad spectrum of requirements from customers like you. In the latest release, we’ve added more capabilities to help you develop a wide range of land, air, and sea-based simulation applications. More M&S capabilities available out-of-the-box means that you’ll spend less time developing content and scenarios from scratch. In STAGE 13 for example, we’ve added physics-based weapons, laser-guided bombs, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), logistics models, and more to the simulation content library to help you create scenarios faster than ever before.
There is a growing need to conduct frequent joint simulation exercises and pool collective resources to maintain and respond to heightened security threats. These types of simulations require reliable connectivity to distributed networks among multiple machines with multiple participants. That’s why it was important for us to provide common DIS/HLA/CIGI support across the suite. M&S Suite 13 also includes native support for HLA Evolved so that you can leverage the latest version of the standard, deploy HLA Evolved federations, and create more immersive simulations. What’s more, with Vega Prime 13 you’ll be able to access DIS/HLA/CIGI capabilities out-of-the-box at no added cost; no separate tool or module is required to leverage this functionality.
Our customers have told us that ease of use is one of the most important items on their “must have” lists. In our latest release, we’ve placed an unprecedented level of effort in ensuring that our tools are easy to use so that developing your simulation applications is as painless as possible. For example, one of the most notable changes is Terra Vista’s new, improved UI. We’ve redesigned it to enable database developers and terrain specialists to build terrain databases faster than ever before via a logical and step-by-step workflow.
We all make mistakes, but wouldn’t it be nice to have someone looking over your shoulder to make sure you didn’t? With M&S Suite 13, we’ve added new intelligent tools to validate your work so you spend less time trying to figure out where you went wrong. For example in Terra Vista 13, we’ve added the new Project Health function to diagnose database problems by verifying your source data before beginning the build process. In Creator 13, the improved Analyze Models tool helps you more quickly identify 3D models that violate rules that you set and provides you with suggestions to resolve known issues.
We’re always looking for ways to go above-and-beyond to satisfy our customers and ensure they have access to the support and expertise when they need it the most. Beginning this fall, active maintenance clients will be able to take advantage of new perks being offered as part of the new maintenance and support plan. We’re enhancing our offering to ensure you get the most out of your software investment, become proficient users more quickly, and have the necessary information at your fingertips. For example, we will be offering free self-paced training covering a wide variety of commonly asked questions and advanced features. The videos and training materials will be embedded within the Customer Portal and accessible to all active maintenance clients.
Software licensing shouldn’t be complicated. We’ve added flexibility to our licensing models to ensure you have access to software that fits the needs of your organization. This includes evaluation, annual, and floating licenses, as well as enterprise-level licenses to simplify M&S application development across your department or organization.
