All eyes on Auto Expo 2018: Asia’s largest motor show

Auto Expo organized by ACMA ( Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India), CII (Confederation of Indian Industry and SIAM ( Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) is touted to be Asia’s largest and world’s second largest motor show. The Auto Component Expo would be held from 08th February to 11th February, while the Motor Show would be from 09th February to 14th February at separate venues in Delhi and Noida respectively. Almost 2000 participants from 20 countries are expected to participate in this biennial automotive show. It would include conferences and allied events, product launches and focussed pavilions showcasing world class technologies and engineering brilliance. The event has developed into a platform for the automotive industry to exhibit its prowess in R&D, engineering and manufacturing for future mobility concepts.

With BS IV to BS VI transition and the ambitious target of government to achieve 6-7 million sales of electric vehicles year on year from 2020 based on National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020, Autoexpo is something to watch out for as the companies would have to ring in disruptive changes. Auto Expo 2018 for the first time will display a separate zone for exhibiting innovations of start-ups, especially in the electric vehicle segment. More than 100 product unveilings and 24 product launches are expected at the Auto Expo 2018.
