Sustainable Mining and Technology Upgradation essential for mining industry in India: MINING INDUSTRY-  Vision 2030 and beyond

Keeping in view the present state of affairs of the mining industry, Mining Engineers’ Association of India organised an international conference & expo titled MINING INDUSTRY – Vision 2030 and beyond.

The inauguration was followed by keynote session on different topics related to mining and exploration. Mr. Arun Kumar, secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India, was the chief guest and Mr. M.P. Chaudhari, chairman and managing director, MOIL Ltd was the guest of honour on the occasion. More than 300 mining engineers, geologists, mineral corporates and other delegates from across the country participated in the event which focused on the issues related to exploration, resource assessment, sustainable mining, human capacity, skill development and many more.

EDS Technologies along with Dassault Systemes participated at this conference & expo. There was a session on how Dassault Systemes solutions such as GEOVIA are helping mining industry become sustainable and help maximize resource potential with strategic planning and design. There was an experience centre from EDS Technologies and Dassault Systemes which saw tremendous interest from visitors and geologists in exploring GEOVIA software application for the mining industry.
