As a part of Academia connect initiative EDST organized two workshops, "V6-PLM for Industry Connect" in Bangalore & "Recent Trends in Manufacturing using Delmia" in Chennai.

Mr. Kiran M S, Associate PLM Consultant, conducted the workshop & discussed about multi-disciplinary curriculum enablement, unique integrated systems engineering, advanced collaboration tools, increased student employability etc.

Mr. Sam Antony, Sr. Application Engineer & PLM was the speaker at the Chennai workshop.

The workshop started with an introduction to 3DEXPERIENCE platform, followed by session on DELMIA for digital manufacturing.

The workshop also covered on Human Ergonomics, Robotics in Manufacturing, Process Planning. Customer case studies were also demonstrated, which gave the participants more insight on how these solutions help in manufacturing engineering processes,importance to skill students on these platforms and include relevant topics in the curricula to foster innovation and research.

Representatives from various colleges participated at both the locations and appreciated the learning.

EDST is committed towards the important Industry Academia connect and is planning to conduct more such workshops across India involving academia and various industry verticals.
