SAP announced that the SAP Jam social software platform has been recognized as a 2016 innovator in the collaboration market by Aragon Research, due to its yearlong advancements in user adoption, product development and a value-based approach to enterprise collaboration.
SAP earned the accolade following the latest release of SAP Jam Collaboration, with a series of new features designed to redefine corporate intranets by empowering employees to collaborate without the involvement of IT teams. SAP Jam Collaboration can help improve business agility and shorten the time to respond to customer needs by simplifying the process to engage stakeholders and subject-matter experts. This simplified engagement helps to obtain answers to questions more quickly; offers employees self-service access to collaboration and information, and brings the right content, people and information together.
“We chose SAP Jam as a collaboration innovator due to its efforts to make collaboration technologies easier to use, and more importantly, easier to demonstrate their value,” said Jim Lundy, CEO, Aragon Research. “We recognize SAP's efforts this year in changing the dynamics of the collaboration market, and recognize its significant developments in changing how we think about collaboration at work.”
The award marks the latest accomplishment in the mission of SAP Jam to demonstrate the true ROI and business value of enterprise collaboration to more than 34 million global users. In addition to having new features released earlier this year, SAP Jam also passed a significant user milestone, developed new solutions for corporate learning, CRM and marketing, and demonstrated its total economic impact through millions of dollars in cost savings. SAP Jam finishes 2016 with a full array of solutions and resources available for organizations seeking a collaborative workplace culture with higher efficiency and productivity.
“We've spent considerable time and energy this year in redefining how people think about enterprise collaboration,” said Stephen Hamrick, vice president, Product Management, Collaboration Software, SAP. “Each innovation released and award won ultimately supports this vision that collaboration works best with context, organization and structure, to achieve true ROI. We're proud of the third-party validation we've received in this industry and will continue to work to make enterprise collaboration a more contextual and productive experience.”
